'But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee' (Psalm 5:11)

Knowing God and understanding what he has done for us, should lead us to greater trust and confidence in him. He wants us to have an open and intimate relationship with him, so we can know his plan for our salvation; His great love for us; His sovereignty; His power and providence. His desire is to save all and to have a saving relationship with everyone. However, anyone who doesn't accept His call and his plan of salvation will never experience the joy of the Lord, or his desire for them to spend eternity with him. As believers it is important to trust in the name of the Lord and not in ourselves, or in our riches or in our own strength. We must not only trust, but rejoice in the salvation of the Lord and have hope for the future with him. It behoves us every day to lift our voices and express joy for our Lord's return for his faithful people. As we seek to put our total trust in the Sovereign Lord, let us rejoice at the sound of his name. Let us learn to love His name and appreciate and love all He has done for us and recognise the mighty power of the works of his hand. We must choose to live a life of obedience and gratitude. We must be thankful for Jesus and his redemptive power to save us by his precious blood. When we love and appreciate the name of the Lord, we will be joyful in him because He is our strength and our song; He is our Deliverer and Protector and we must rejoice in Him. Let us daily feed upon the living Word of God; meditate; be in constant prayer lifting our souls to God; in thanksgiving and supplication lift up our hearts with joy to Him. We ought to love the name of the Lord and be joyful in Him as we truly serve him in spirit and in truth.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and

'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more

'Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still' (Psalm 4:4). God knows everything about us, because he is God, our Creator and there is nothing that can be hidden from him. He knows the heart and the intents of the heart; Our thoughts, emotions, desires and motives, whether they be good or evil. He knows the godly from the ungodly, and have set apart those who are godly for himself, and will hear when they call unto him (verse 3). We are all called to be in a right relationship with God. Those who accept this call should have daily communion with Him through the study of His Word, prayer and supplications, allowing the Holy Spirit access in their hearts, that they might not wilfully sin against Him. We need to search our hearts daily and be silent before God as we contemplate his grace and his mercy towards us, and He will reveal Himself to us. When our enemies seek to do us harm, or people speak lies about us, simply look to Jesus and trus
