'These are the things that ye shall do; speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates'
(Zechariah 8:15).

God in his command to man give clear guidance, that we should love him with our whole heart and also love our neighbours.  Our neighbour is any one we come in contact with each day - our friends, families, colleagues, associates and strangers. We must recognised that as we seek to obey God's commandments and show our gratitude with thanksgiving to him, we will receive the blessings he has instore for us. We must learn to appreciate and respect one another, judge with judgement of truth and show mercy and compassion, as we seek to restore and promote peace amongst each other, with divine help. God is saying to us, not to only know his  commandments but to practise them. We must seek to speak truth to our neighbour and let our words be seasoned with the love of God. We must be a people of honesty and integrity where our words and actions mean something to those on the receiving end. We should judge truth without fear, anger and partiality. As far as possible seek to be at peace with everyone. We must seek good and not evil, that we may live, and the Lord, the God of host shall be with us. We are also admonished to hate the evil and love the the good, and establish judgment in our gates, that God will be gracious unto us ( see Amos 5:14,15). God expects his people to observe integrity and justice towards each other and not to make the same mistakes as did the Jews. We must refrain from deceit and also ot carrying out evil practices of deception and craftiness against one another. Those in Judiciary roles must be careful not to accept bribe in handing down of judgement, but to judge  with judgement of truth and aims to promote peace in their gates. Let us through the Holy Spirit's leading, be like Christ in our attitude to wards others, giving love to others as we experience God's love, mercy and grace. In so doing we will deal faithfully and truthfully with others, refraining from evil deeds;  loving justice, truth and peace.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
