'For I came down from heaven, not to do mine  own will, but the will of him who sent me' (John
6:38).

Jesus who is God, came down from heaven to do the will of his Father, who sent him. His will and the will of the Father are always in alignment. As believers and followers of Christ, shouldn't we seek to do the will of God and not our own? To ask God to align our will with His will? Throughout His ministry, Jesus taught the people that he had been sent from God to carry out His will and that He was the promised Messiah, who came to fulfil the Scriptures. He was a loving and compassionate Saviour and taught the people what it means to love God and one another. He  healed the sick and broken hearted, raised the dead, cast out demons, provided for their physical needs and attended to their spiritual needs. Jesus is able to mend our brokenness and release us from the bondage of sin. He alone can bring us inner peace and joy to our weeping hearts. He came to give us abundance of life, joy in our sorrows, strength when we are weak and to lift us up when we are disheartened. He supplies physical and spiritual food to those who are hungry and thirsty. He came to die for us, to reconcile us back to God, to sever our relationship with the Father, to breathe life in our wretched hearts and to give us eternal life. He is saying to all peoples of the earth, "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine will but the will of him who sent me." Some of whom He taught, wasn't interested in the spiritual food He offered, but more of the material things of life. They refuse to believe He was sent from God and missed the important lesson that he sought to teach them. We have the Scriptures that testify of Jesus and what he has done for us. Let us not make the same mistakes and miss out on eternal life with Jesus. We who believe by faith that Jesus the incarnate Son of God came down from heaven to do the will of his Father to save us, will have an everlasting supply of spiritual food. Let us learn the lessons Jesus is teaching us through the Word of God and by the leading of the Holy Spirit, that we might find joy in the salvation of our Lord, as we anticipate having eternity with him.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
