'There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it'
(1 Corinthians 10:13).

Temptation is not of God nor from God, but is of the Devil. To be tempted is not a sin, its only when we yield to it that it becomes a sin. Hear Paul is encouraging us of the sufficiency of God's grace. He is letting us know that while we are here on this earth we will have temptations, but amidst all the trials and temptations, God's grace is not only sufficient, but available to all who will trust in Him. God did not promise we will not have trials, temptations, difficulties and dangers; nor did He promise to exempt us from any of those fiery trials, evilous temptations or even persecutions. But He promises to be with us every step of the way. When temptation comes our way, we need to trust God. Jesus too was tempted when he was on earth by the Devil, in the wilderness after having fasted for forty days and night, but did not yield to him. He rebuked him as He stood on the Word of God, and the Devil left Him and angels came and ministered unto Him. Jesus can relate to all we are going through, because He had experienced pain, sufferings and temptations, as we do and even worst than anything we will ever experience. So we know that in Christ we can do all things, we just need to trust in Him. Paul is speaking to all who choose to believe in Christ our Saviour. His word will help to console our hearts and bring comfort to us, as we cling to the precious promises of Jesus; knowing His grace is sufficient for us in all the trials and temptations that will come our way. Let us obey and trust God by his grace through faith in Christ, that we will triumph and be saved eternally. Our trials and temptations are no different from what others experience, so let us seek to encourage each other as we go along this rugged journey of our lives. God is faithful and has promised that He will not allow the temptations we experience to be more than we can bear, but in His grace will provide a way of escape that we can endure it. Praise the Lord!

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
