'And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me' (Psalm 50:15).

All who believe and trust in the Lord, know we serve a mighty and living God, who is ever willing to hear and listen to us when we call upon his name. He is never tired of hearing from his children, and welcomes our communication with him. We have this wonderful privilege to be able to call upon the Lord at anytime. There is no time restriction, because the Lord doesn't slumber or sleep. His telephone line is open 24 hours a day and seven days per week. However, when we call upon his name in times of trouble, he promises to  deliver us, that should bring great comfort to all who believe in Him. We should always come before the Lord with a humble heart, full of praise and thanksgiving, even in troublesome times. Our gifts and offerings presented to God must come from a humble and obedient heart. We must not think we are doing God a favour, as if we are giving him something that he needed. He doesn't need anything because everything belongs to him. It is us who are in need of God and therefore, we should come in humility, obedience and complete trust as we give allegiance to the Sovereign God. And He promises to deliver us from our calamities in the day of trouble. We then should in turn glorify him. We will honour and glorify God, because we trust him and have confidence that he will deliver us in the day of trouble, as we commit all in his hands. It doesn't mean that we only call upon him in such time of needs, but that we should always seek to engage with him on a daily basis, in good and bad times. So when our trouble comes and our faith is sincerely tested, we can confidently rest assured that God is indeed able to deliver us. Let us seek to honour God, to have a spirit of gratitude and to comply with His commandments, as we seek each day to have a deeper and meaningful relationship with him. That's what God requires of us!

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
