'But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ'
(Romans 14:10).

It is our natural tendency to judge others, sometimes without moral truth. We may hear something negative about them and it affects how we perceive them. It might be that we see attitudes they displayed and it does quiet fit with what we believe. But the Bible says we should not pass judgment on others, this is reserved for God
(James 4:12). Some people do not admit their own mistakes but love to point out another person's flaws and mistakes. But we must realise that all of us have made mistakes in our lives; some of which we are not proud of. It is only the grace of God that enables us, as we come to know Christ, to reflect and ask to be forgiven, so we don't make these mistakes again. Paul is saying be careful how we judge our brothers, because in the end we are all going to stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Sometimes people  judge others because of their appearance, that is, how they look; their skin tone, or other disposition they might posses. But Jesus is saying, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment"
(John 7:24). It is not about what I think, because that can be subjective truth, but rather by the principle of God's truth (objective truth). We should pray for our brethren, when we see certain situations happening with them, to try and understand and know their story, instead of judging them. Get to know them better, by having a genuine relationship with them. Through your support,  kindness and acceptance they learn to trust you and tell their story. They see the love of Christ in you and no trace of judgment. We can have concern towards out brethren, but it is not our place to judge them; our responsibility is to love them. Christ loves us with all of our flaws and died to save each of us. He loves the sinner and not the sin we have  committed. As believers and followers of Christ we too should separate the sin from the sinners, of which we all are. That is, we should hate the sin (what they do) but love our brother or our neighbours. We need at times to give people the benefit of the doubt and dwell more on the fact that Christ came and die for all, because we are sinners with flaws and one day we shall all stand before him, where he will judge the works of all believers. Let us not judge but exhibit the love of Christ to our brethren and others who are seeking to know the Saviour.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
