'As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me' (Psalm 55:16).

Everyone experience some sort of trials and difficulties at intervals during their lifetime. Some more than others. But for all who call upon the name of the Lord, He has promised to save them. We live in a world where we see the hearts of men are even more  cold and evil than generations gone by. People are killed for what they possess, innocent children and women been violently abused and murdered; Christians being persecuted for their faith, and the list is endless. Many people live in fear of their lives, even those of faith. But as believers, we should trust in the Eternal God, who is willing to fight our battles for us. He is our Deliverer and Refuge in times of trouble and afflictions, and has promised to save us. Like David, many of you have been betrayed by people you loved and trusted. You may have felt overwhelmed and distraught and heartbroken, having a feeling of helpless where you don't know which way to turn. Some of you may have gone through trials, sufferings and persecutions because you fell in love with Jesus. But I say to you, "Be of good courage, call upon the Lord and he will strengthen your heart. As believers we can trust no other but Jesus who is the Source of our salvation, and be confident that our God  will not let the wicked go unpunished. When we have a deep relationship with God, we will know him personally and be confident in His ability to to deliver us and save us through Jesus Christ. God sees your pain and heartache, your sufferings and the  injustice done to you and is saying to you "be still and watch the salvation of the Lord." Let us pray fervently, lifting up our hearts to God, committing our will to Him, who is able to keep us from falling. Just as we take care to feed our physical body daily, let us take the same care to feed our soul spiritually. We should begin the day with God and in the evening close with Him, and throughout the day as we see fit converse with our heavenly Father, through Scriptures and prayers. This continous practice will help to strengthen and give us the assurance and confidence to call upon God at all times, in the good and not so good times. Let us learn to trust God more and be confident in the Saviour's love.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live;' (John 11:25). The story of Lazarus is a well known one in the Bible. He and his sisters Martha and Mary were friends of Jesus, who loved them. Lazarus became sick and died, and after four days Jesus raised him from the dead. This was more for benefits of those around including His disciples, so that they may truly believe that God had sent him.  He was speaking  with Martha who was more focused on the telling Jesus the problem, than demanding a specific solution. We too can be so focus on the problems we faced, that we forget that God is  much bigger that the problem and is our solution to them. When Jesus told her Lazarus would rise again, she understood it to mean he would live again someday. But Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live." Christ at this time, was able...
