'Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets' (Matthew 7:12).

God is love and we ought to love him and one another. When we love God we will obey him and keep his commandments, out of a pure heart and of a good conscience. In keeping the law of God, we have to also love our neighbour; every single person we come in contact with is seen as our neighbour. When we love one another we are fulfilling the law of God, because love is the fulfilment of the law. Jesus says, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and prophets"
(Matthew 22:37-40). When we get this right, we will treat others with the concern and kindness we would like them to show towards us. In other words, Jesus is saying, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This principle is all about doing the will of God. Whatever we do in word or deed, we do all unto the glory of God. This saying, to do unto others as we would have them do unto you, is very popular with both believers and non- believers. But it is not just about treating others kindly because we want them to do the same for us, but the motive behind what we do and what we mean. Is this rule motivated by love or is it about self? As believers this rule should be evident in our lives, as we seek to grow in grace and learn to love others as Christ loved us and gave his life for us. This principle of Christ should take root in us and impact every area of our lives and to all we come in contact with on a daily basis. It should influence our attitudes, actions and innermost motives as Christians. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives, to love as Christ loved us and to grow in grace as we seek to walk in spirit and truth, so we may bring glory to God.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
