'Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves.  Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith' (1 Corinthians 13:5).

Knowing God and accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour from sin, are the most important factors in making our decision to become a part of the family of God. For when we know God we will understand His plan and purpose for our lives. By accepting Christ as our Saviour, is admitting we are sinners in need of One; and that it's the only way to be one again with God, the Father. It is clear  that Christ is our foundation and it is by God's grace through faith in Him that anyone can be saved. There is no other way! If you don't believe in Jesus as the Son of God and Redeemer for mankind, you will not experience eternal life with Him. As believers, we all individually ought to constantly examine oneself, to see if our faith is genuine, and to test our faith to see if Christ is in and among us. Are you living according to your faith in Christ? Although Paul was addressing the Corinthians, it does not mean we are exempt from such warnings. It applies to all believers. It is important that we think seriously about our life and walk with Christ; to reflect inwardly, taking a honest look at whether we are truly a believer in Christ. To see if our faith is according to the truth of God. We need to look deeply within ourselves and see if our conduct and behaviour follow through on the will of God for our lives. Do you have the same belief as when you were first introduced to Christ? Or have they changed to something else? Without Christ in our lives we are doom for eternity, because we cannot be saved otherwise. If anyone is desirous of spending eternity with Christ, they have to accept him by faith as the One who died for them; to come to him with an honest and sincere heart and  confess and repent of their sins as they seek after him. They need to live a life that is pleasing to God and allow his will to be done in their lives. Today, if you hear the voice of God calling you, harden not your heart, but kneel before Him and empty yourself as you accept His call to come to him. Let us not fail the test of genuine faith in Christ Jesus.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
