'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God'
 (Ephesians 2:8).

It is good to consider, that no matter how one perceive themselves; whether they be rich or poor, educated or uneducated that you can never save yourself or give salvation to another. It is a gift from God to all who will believe. Salvation is not a reward for all the good things we have done, therefore we need not boast about it. It is only by God's grace we are saved, by faith in Christ Jesus; so none of us can take the credit. But as a gift from God, we are called to proclaim the gospel. We are to live it, share it and pray for the salvation of others, as we sought to bring them to Christ; that they may experience the promise in Christ of eternal life. We must recognise that the means of salvation is faith. In other words, we have to believe by faith in Christ, as the incarnate Son of God, to be saved. It is God who made salvation available by his grace. It is Him who operates in our lives, and nothing we have done or could even do. Salvation is a gift from God, that only him can provide. It is God who chooses to forgive, we do not deserve this salvation we have been offered, but it is only by his mercy and grace that we are saved. Praise God! We cannot take the credit for our salvation, even if we desire to do so, by boasting about who we are and what we have done. Let us show kindness to our fellow believers and have compassion on those who are yet to know Christ and understand the plan of salvation. We ought to remember who we were before we met Jesus and help others by being sympathetic. It is because of sin, that we are all unworthy, but with  belief in Christ we will all be saved by the same kindness of God. Let us reach out to someone today, who need to know of the great gift of God in Christ Jesus and having eternity with him. Let us refrain from boasting and look to Jesus, our Saviour and Redeemer, who alone can save us.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
