'The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure' (Psalm 111:7).

God is faithful and true, and everything he does tell of his love, his power and might. We ought to trust that He can perfect us with His righteousness through Christ Jesus. His laws and his testimony are sure and can be trusted completely, and  believed as the sure word of truth. God in his faithfulness acts faithfully and righteously towards his people, without a trace of partiality. It behoves us to  give him total praise! Everything He had proclaimed shall be found worthy of our obedience, as we stand on his unchangeable word. His commandment stands forever and are done in truth and uprightness. Therefore, His wonderful works must be a cause to praise Him. That is, we must fear Him, honour him, obey him and praise him. And  as we respond to God in this marvellous way, He will respond to us in the most loving way, enriching out lives with a sense of security and confidence. Christ's righteousness is a means for our salvation, granted freely by him, by grace through faith to all who believe. As believers we need to rely on the sure Word of God, his statutes and his law which are worthy of confidence and truth. As we testify of God's goodness, let us praise and give glory and honour to His name. Let us fear the Lord and allow him to rule in our hearts, so we may conscientiously keep his commandments and do them. We need to remember that the works of his hands are true and just and fair, as his commandments are sure.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
