'For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon your name' (Psalm 86:5).

There are people in this world, even as believers, who find it hard to forgive due to the injuries or hurt done to them by others. Some consider themselves good or been considered good by others, but refuse to let go of the hurt or anger that may cause them to be unforgiving. But the Bible tells us that God alone is good. His goodness flows in abundance towards all those who pray and worship Him, making mention of His name. He is also ready to forgive, so when we come to Him confessing our sins, He said he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. No sooner we ask for forgiveness, He freely gives it to us. How much more should we, but seek to forgive others? Do you love to call upon the name of Jesus? When we call upon the name of the Lord; having faith in Christ, the Lord shows mercy, because He is rich and abundant in mercy and full of grace. It is the nature of God to be merciful and forgiving, he cannot be any other way. Therefore, let us call upon Him daily, when we rise up in the morning until we go to bed at night. David experienced joy in God and is confident of His mercy, goodness and forgiveness. How have you experienced the Lord in your life? David had no one to turn to for help, except God. We too must make God our first priority and turn to him in our times of need. We must seek to know the Lord and experience His love and his grace, that we are able to declare, "Thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive." We need to humble ourselves before God and trust in the precious blood of Jesus shed for us, to enable us to come before the throne of grace and obtain mercy. Maybe at this moment, you are faced with trials, or you may be afflicted, may be someone has wronged you and you're feeling hurt and angry and having difficulty forgiving yourself or someone. Who do you turn to for help? Know that your help comes from the God of heaven and turn to Him. Let us learn to turn to the Lord, and in total dependency and trust; to make Him first in our hearts and minds at all times. Come to the Lord with all your worries, anxieties and concerns; He is good and ready to forgive; help you; soothe you and comfort you. Call upon His name because He is plenteous in mercy.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
