'Let your heart therefore be perfect with the Lord our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day' ( 1 King 8:61).

How can our heart be perfect with the Lord? We have to be sincere in our love for God; be in oneness as we worship him and consistent in our obedience to him. We should have a zeal for God and the work He wants to accomplish in us. We ought to come in His presence each day in prayers of gratitude. It is important to thank the Lord for the blessings He has bestow upon us each day and to express our gratitude for what He has done for us on Calvary. We should seek to devote  ourselves completely to the Lord, as we walk in His statues and keep his commandments, as did King Solomon and the people of Israel in that day. Look to Jesus, and let not your heart be troubled or dismayed, but trust fully on the name of the Lord. We are in a crisis and many people are confused, leaders don't know what to do, but our Sovereign God still has control over the whole situation. Therefore we have nothing to worry about! Just give God thanks for keeping us safely through these trying times. Just as Israel's purpose was to be a blessing to the nations around, and draw them to God. We too are here that God can bless the world through us believers. Let us pray without ceasing, claiming all the promises of God and praising God for the past fulfilment of his promises. Let us work with God, be co-labourers with him to bring lost souls to him, so they can enjoy his peace and eternity with him when Jesus comes. I beseech you to let your heart be wholly devoted to God, to live by his decree and to be obedient unto him. Like King Solomon's charged to the people of Israel to be perfect with God and walk in His ways. Let us purpose in our hearts to do the same and receive the blessings God wants to bestow on us.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
