'Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord' (Psalm 31:23).

The Psalmist encourage us to hope in the Lord. When we do so, it should help us not to be afraid or discouraged. However, at times we take our eyes off Jesus, or lack faith in him, or get anxious and worried. Sometimes we also become overwhelmed by challenges and trials which caused us to be discouraged or afraid. The Lord will not fail or forsake us and his presence is with us. The Lord has promised to strengthen our heart as we hope in him. He will never leave us, but will draw very near to us even in our adversity, and put His own power into us. It is important to note that when Satan throw his darts at us, or make us face danger and tribulation, we need not be afraid as the Lord is right there at our side. Let  us not be caught in Satan's net, but trust in God's ability as our God to protect and keep us from Satan's scheme and deceptions. It is God who is in control of our lives and decides each of our fate, as he guides us along. Are you willing to place your fate in the hands of God? Trust Him!! Be of good  courage, and the Lord shall strengthen your heart. Walk carefully before Him and take courage at all times, hoping in the Lord. He will strengthen your heart  and enable you to meet trials and oppositions when it comes without being faint and disheartened. When we hope in God, he will cheer us, sustain us, comfort us, prosper and protect  us. Encourage others, as well as, yourself to be of good courage that the Lord may strengthen their hearts, as they hope in him.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
