'Examine yourselves, whether ye be in faith; prove your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates' (2 Corinthians 13:5)?
Christ died on Calvary for all humanity that we might live and be with him forever. However, it's only those who believe in Him and accept His gift of salvation by faith shall have eternal life. As believers, we need ever so often, to examine ourselves and think critically about our lives, whether we are walking with Christ. Paul instructed the Corinthians to really examine themselves, to see if they were truly in the faith; and to be honest about their own soul. We too need to look inwardly and examine our own lives spiritually, whether we truly believe in Jesus, as we say we do. Are we doing or aligning our will to the will of God? How do we conduct ourselves before God and each other? To whom do we put our trust, God or man, or other things? It behoves us to truly examine where we are in Christ and to see if Christ is in us. When we understand and know that Christ is truly in us, it will encourage and motivate us to resist temptations and shun sin. The Corinthians were doubting the verity of Paul's connection with Christ; that Christ was indeed speaking to him. Paul turned it back in them, instructing them to examine their own selves, to test themselves to see if Christ was truly in them, except they be reprobates. Paul did not mince his words, but in love in admonished them. Sometimes we see our fellow believers going the wrong way, and are afraid to admonish them, even in love. Other times we do, but it's the wrong approach without any form of love. Let us not in any way prove to be reprobates, that allow the sin in us to take away our desires to truly serve God. Nor allow our hearts to get callous that the word of God no longer convicts our hearts. We should also refrain from calling "Good" evil and "Evil" good. But in order to get connected to the source, let us examine ourselves, in the here and now, scrutinising our conducts that they follow through on the will of God for our lives and that we may prove to have genuine faith and live in Christ by the power of God towards us.
Have a wonderful day
'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and
