'Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;'
(Romans 12:12)
In Romans chapter 12, Paul gives an insight into how we should behave as Christians. He also points out that we being many, but are all one in the body of Christ, and members one to another. Then in verse 12, Paul admonished us as to how we are to respond in various situations we might face in our lives. We are told to rejoice in hope. Why? Because it is Christ we hope in. Our hearts should be full of joy, knowing we have peace when we put our hope in Christ. We are also to be patient in our tribulations or afflictions. We cannot be patient in our own strength, we need the help of the Holy Spirit to persevere in our patience, and help us not to give us but to press on to victory. We are also admonished to be persistent in prayers. We are never to cease praying, knowing when we come to God in prayers, He will hear and answer. We must emulate Christ, and show we trust God in all circumstances we might face in life. As believers, we must believe our hope is built on Christ's righteousness, and in our afflictions we glory in the Lord, who is our Refiner. He will refine us in the furnace of our afflictions and make us pure, as He equipped us to live life of service to Him. Let us be patient and allow God to transform our lives in becoming better people for His kingdom. In our patient endurance, others may also be drawn closer to God. Be faithful in prayer, even when you don't see the answers to your prayers. Never stopped praying, because you may deny God the opportunity to intervene in your life. We must devote ourselves to prayer and trust that God will answer our prayers. He promised in Isaiah 65:24, that before you call, He will answer; and while you're yet speaking he will hear. Today, God is saying to each of us, be joyful in Hope, patient in afflictions and faithful in prayer. Let us guard our hearts, for everything we do flow from it.
Have a wonderful day
'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and
