'Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the Lord your God...' (Jeremiah 26:13).

As sinners we were condemned by the law of God, but through Jesus's sacrifice, and by His obedience rendered to the law, claims for our repenting souls; we are forgiven and receive the merit of His righteousness. When we become Children of God, we ought to receive the truth that repentance and forgiveness are only obtained through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we must amend our ways and our doings, and obey the voice of the Lord our God; simple because He is our God, and His Word directs to His good and for our good. God promised to repent us of the evil that he had pronounced against us. Let us look deep within ourselves and stop being bitter and angry at others. Let us refrain from cursing and being rude to one another and to emulate Christ. We must be kind, loving, merciful and forgive others, just as God has forgiven us because of Christ. The Word of God admonishes us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that if we are called by God's name, then we should humble ourselves and pray and seek God's face, turn from our wicked ways. He will hear us from heaven and will heal our land - God will heal our hearts. Let us come to Christ with a repenting heart, so the Holy Spirit can transform us. Transformation must take place in the heart, and manifest is power through our whole being - body, soul and mind. Let us come to Jesus as we are, without delay and give Him our whole heart. Let us seek repentance and rejoice in the Lord, who will clothe us with the garment of His salvation and cover us with His robe of righteousness.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
