'For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them'
(Isaiah 59:12).

Salvation is only of God, there is no other way by which we can be saved, but by the blood of the Lamb - Jesus Christ. When we trangress the law of God we commit a sin against Him, and our iniquities have separated between us and God. Sometimes, God will hide his face from His people and will not hear them because their transgressions are multiplied before Him and their sins testify against them. God is a witness to them, as they are witnesses against themselves. When we transgress God's law we become separated from God and we know our iniquities, even though we may try to cover them up, but indeed they testify against us, and are with us. We must therefore, come with a repenting heart and seek God's forgiveness. Let us not profess to be God's people, but be God's people!  Let us know through our own sin that God is always willing to hear us, because His ear is not heavy that he will not hear us, neither is His hand short that He will not save us. He is God and we serve a mighty and wonderful God. Even when we don't get things right, God is there waiting for us to see things as they are, and call upon Him, while He can be found. This we know, when we regard iniquity in our heart God will not hear us when we pray (Psalm 68:18). Let us therefore, seek the Lord and pray earnestly, that our transgressions are not multiplied before us, nor our sins testify against us, hindering our spiritual growth. But to be true to God and ourselves.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
