'I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me'
(John 6:57).

Jesus is the living bread from heaven. All who believe in Him, that He was sent by God, can have eternal life. Just as how we have to eat the physical food for it to do good to our bodies; belief in Christ is something we take inside of us - spiritual faith; that will lead us to have eternal life. Therefore, Christ declared himself as the "Bread of Life." When we feed on Him it will do good to our spiritual life. Christ said that, he lives or dwells because of the living Father who sent Him. Indeed It was the Father who sent Him to be the propitiation for our sins. Here we see Christ speaking of a loving relationship between Him and the Father, and implying that's the relationship He wants to have with us. When we abide in Christ, He will abide in us and that abiding relationship will lead us to eternal life. As we feed on Christ, that is, taking Him into our lives, we become complete unto perfection. When Christ spoke of "feeding on Him," many Jews chose to walk away. They murmured against Him, that He asked them to eat of his flesh. Of course, they misunderstood what this meant. Jesus was simply pointing to Himself as a foreshadow of His own crucifixion. If they feed on Him they would live. They missed the true meaning of what Jesus was offering them - life eternal in Him. The Jews became blinded because they didn't accept Christ as the Messiah, resulting in great consequences to them. Let us accept Christ as the Bread of Life, and feast on Him daily; to believe that the Father had sent Him, and that He seeks a loving relationship with us, as He has with the Father. Let us enjoy our relationship with Christ, and eat of him by faith. Make Him our spiritual food on which we live and breathe, that our spiritual life be preseved. He lives and because of Him, we live and can face uncertainty days, and having the opportunity to spend eternity with Him. Chose Christ, feed on him and live.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
