Devotional
'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8).
The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day.
The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed.
It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us.
Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him!
We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation.
When we seek to be in a relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan.
Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with.
He is our High Priest, and Judge and is now interceding for us in the Most Holy place in the heavenly sanctuary.
When Christ proclaim that the work is done, the Father will inaugurate as Him as King over the all the earth. Christ will put a side his priestly garments and put on his kingly garments, as he gets ready to return to earth for his people who trusted in Him and are obedient.
Let us be confident in God's protection and embrace it, giving thanks.
"The Lord is our strength and the saving strength of his anointed." This is a blessing given to the heart that trust God; He doesn't merely give strength, but is our strength.
As we walk the Christian pathway, let us seek to follow Christ. Let us be confident in Him and recognise that our real source of strength is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Have a wonderful day
'I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...
