Devotional
'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8).
The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day.
The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed.
It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us.
Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him!
We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation.
When we seek to be in a relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan.
Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with.
He is our High Priest, and Judge and is now interceding for us in the Most Holy place in the heavenly sanctuary.
When Christ proclaim that the work is done, the Father will inaugurate as Him as King over the all the earth. Christ will put a side his priestly garments and put on his kingly garments, as he gets ready to return to earth for his people who trusted in Him and are obedient.
Let us be confident in God's protection and embrace it, giving thanks.
"The Lord is our strength and the saving strength of his anointed." This is a blessing given to the heart that trust God; He doesn't merely give strength, but is our strength.
As we walk the Christian pathway, let us seek to follow Christ. Let us be confident in Him and recognise that our real source of strength is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Have a wonderful day
'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more
