'He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he'
(Deuteronomy 32:4).

Moses referred to God as   "the Rock," because He knew he was the only true rock. He described God as a God of faithfulness, who is without injustice - One who is righteous and upright in all His ways. Moses proclaimed it in a song of praise to the Lord. He could attest to this, as a result of his encounter with and experience of Him in a mighty way.
From the time of the burning bush; him leading Israel from the bondage of Egypt; to the Red Sea; the wilderness experience; to him missing out on the Promise Land. Wow! What an experience and journey that must have been.
It was God who had chosen Israel as a special people, to bring light to the heathen nations around who were in utter darkness. He had redeemed them, established and guarded them as the apple of His eye. He had promised them great blessings, if they would trust Him and His Word. But they were a rebellious and perverse generation, who having been delivered from Egypt by God, did not enter the Promise Land, except for Caleb and Joshua.
God was faithful in chastening His people and patient in seeking to bring them back to Himself, but they kept rejecting him and lack faith in him. Moses, God's faithful servant, prepared the new generation and taught them about God, and recalled the ways of their forefathers, so they wouldn't make the same mistakes as they did.
All these things which happened were wriiten- down for our learning. Therefore, we should use the experiences of Israel as a lesson. We should experience God for ourselves and sing of His goodness, be faithful and turn away from evil surmising.  As Children of God, bought with the precious blood of Jesus, we must avoid the many mistakes Israel made and be careful not to fall into apostasy, or doubt God's Word or lack faith in Christ.
Let us live to honour the Lord, who is faithful and just in all His ways, righteous and true in all He does. Let us seek to grow in grace by the power of the Holy Spirit; to love the Lord more, and live by faith in Christ Jesus, and not by sight. We ought to give God thanks that he is our Rock and that his work is perfect. Let us not reject the Rock of our salvation, who is a shelter in the time of storm. He is our rock of ages that will endure forever. He is the Saviour of the world and the foundation of our faith and hope - Christ Jesus our Lord.
He is truly upright and faithful; our Mediator and Judge. Let us look to Him, because we are only safe in Him.

Have a wonderful day

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
