'Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again' (John 3:7).

"Ye must be born again,"  is an important thought to reflect on as Christians, as to who and where we will spend eternity.
Jesus speaking to Nicodemus, a ruler of the the Jews, told him that he should not marvel, because He said, he must be born again.
Jesus was simply saying to Nicodemus that except one is born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
He had to experience the new birth and have a personal relationship with Him.
Jesus died for the sins of all, we have all sin and come short of the glory of God. When we trust and believe in Christ by faith, led by the Holy Spirit, we should experience that spiritual rebirth.
The only way we can change the human nature    - the flesh, is to experience rebirth. That is, being reborn through the Spirit of God.
That's why Jesus speaking to Nicodemus says that, he should marvel not, when He tells him, he must be born again to gain eternal life. Be given a new nature, that our flesh nature may change to that of the Spirit.
We have to understand, it is Christ alone who is the means of salvation in this world. It is the will of God  for us to be born again, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto salvation by Christ.
We are not saved by the work of righteousness, but by grace, according to God's abundant mercy, through the washing of regeneration and by the renewing of the Holy Spirit.
Let us allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through us, so we can grasp the deeper meaning of Jesus' words - ye must be born again.
Let us recognise our need to be redeemed and spiritually transformed, refashioned and remade through God's saving grace and Christ's death on the cross. Let us always remember that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
