'Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall uplift you' (James 4:10).

In order to humble ourselves in the sight of God, we must come before Jesus in awe and reverence, regardless of what people might think of us.
We must understand that it's not about us, but it's about God our Creator.
As followers of God, we are called to trust in the Lord with all our heart. We are to accept the free gift of salvation offered to us through God's grace  by faith in Jesus Christ.
We are assured of the ongoing favour of God, that is readily available to all who believe in Christ.
We have a responsibilty to walk in His ways and humble ourselves before Him.
Let us not be arrogant and proud in our dealings with God and others, but be humble and meekand lowly in heart.
The Word of God tells us, "... God is opposed to the proud, but give grace to the humble" (James 4:6).
In humbling ourselves before God, demonstrate constant sincere prayer; seeking God's face  and turning away from evil. It means also, that we are enabling the grace of God to flow freely into our hearts, and permeate our souls.
Humility is one of the fruit of the Spirit, which we should incorporate in our daily lives, as we seek to live godly in Jesus Christ.
To humble ourselves means, we should submit  to the will of God, and walk in spirit and truth, as we grow in grace and mature in our Christian faith.
Let us keep trusting in the Lord in all things, and rely on Him to carry out good work, he has prepared for us.
Without Christ in our lives we are nothing and can do nothing. Let us truly humble ourselves in the sight of God by being lowly in heart before Him, acknowledging his glory and majesty, while admitting his greatness as our God.
Let us therefore, submit and align our will to His, humble ourselves and draw closer to Him and He will lift us up.

Have wonderful day and a blessed week

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
