'Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive' (Titus 3:14).

As believers, we should learn to pursue good works, by meeting the needs of others. We should seek to be efficient in supporting others and prioritising issues that are sensitive and of urgent needs.
Jesus taught us to love our neighbours as ourselves. A 'neighbour' is anyone who is in need
(Matthew 22:40).
We should not waste precious time bickering, but focus on good works and urgent needs to all who are in dire need.
Let us search the Scriptures, which contain what is the good and perfect will of God, through His grace and having faith in Christ. We will learn to deny sin, to be sober, righteous and live godly lives.
It is in Christ that we can experience good works, by demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit and accepting God's grace by faith in Christ.
Let us not indulge ourselves in idle conversations, lest we become unfruitful or unproductive. It is important to note, that good works alone cannot save us. It is when we do good works that we are grounded in God's grace, and is an act that is pleasing to Him. In order to please God, we have to be in a right relationship with Him.
We must know what pleases God and be obedient to it.
Let us emulate Christ in all we do, because He is our example, and we need to follow Him.
God didn't save us because we have done good works, but save us according to His own mercy. So let the Christ in you and the Christ in me speak volumes in our lives, as we seek to help those in urgent needs.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
