'Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God' (1John 4:7).

When our lives are influenced by Christ we will love one another. If we truly love God, we will keep His commandments
which gives us the guideline of our love for God and one another. When you are born of God, meaning to accept Jesus as your personal Saviour and Lord and have a close relationship with Him; this results in you 'knowing' God. This will help us to truly love others. God loved us first, that we may know how to love. Our love for Him is rooted in His love for us and we act on that love by our obedience to Him and His will for us. When we truly love God, there would be no room for hatred of any kind for one another. Because God is love, man still have the capacity to love, even if they don't know God or they have rejected Him. Human love, however,  highly motivated will fall short if it doesn't include God, and the love of His Son Jesus Christ. One may have a great deal of natural affection towards his family and circle of friends; a great deal of benevolence in his character towards the poor and needy but still does not have any real love for God or for the children of God, because he isn't born again. Love is the divine nature, because it is of God, and those who love have been partakers of the divine nature; and by practicing this love - the agape love, they get to know God more and more. By our fruit, we will know that we love God and others will also know. Because everyone who truly loves, is born of God, and knows God. Let us examine our hearts and see if we truly love God; because except we are born of the Spirit we cannot see the kingdom of God. Let the Word of God grips your soul today as you  hold fast to Him.

Have a reflective day🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
