'Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand or to the left: remove thy foot from evil' (Proverbs 4:26-27).

We are all on a life journey which includes obstacles, dangers, distress, disappointments and evil surmising.  In that journey we also experience peace, joy, love, compassion and kindness; etc. But the Bible says we are to "ponder the path of thy feet and let thy ways be established." When you're walking and deliberately consider where you step, you're far less likely to stumble or fall in a trap. Solomon in giving assurance to his son, that a well-pondered path establishes a secure direction for life, is also speaking to us today. Have you ever thought about, where you go? What about where you have already trodden? Had it been a path of usefulness; has it been a way of evil or good? Had you visited the Cross? And what about the path you're treading now? Are you following the footsteps of Christ? In taking the right steps, we must first examine our motives which engages us to take it; as well as look at the circumstances which accompany them. Sometimes we don't think enough about the path of our feet. We just act and go along with our lives. We don't take the time to think about where we are going - what we're doing - and where it is going to lead. When we begin to think this way and aligning our will to God's, we will have a life that matters, one that is upright and good; one that is steadfast in what pleases and honour the Lord. We will look at the way of our feet, we will know not to turn to the right or the left. Because turning to the right or to the left means, you're choosing to depart from God's path and walking in your own, the world's ways, or those of the devil. The only turn we need to make in life is the one from evil, because the longer we remain in the presence of evil, the more likely we are to participate in it. Think about where you are going. It is important to consider our lives and examine them from time to time. Let's start today!

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
