'If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new' (2 Corinthians 5:17).

As human beings our tendency is to sin. We were born in sin and shaped in iniquity and as a result our heart is naturally deceitful and desperately wicked. It is only the blood of Christ that can cleanse us and save us from sin. When we accept Jesus we are justified by our faith in Him. You become a new person, and the process of sanctification takes place daily in your life, so that you can become more and more like Christ. The text above said, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature." To be in Christ you need to give up your old habits, tendencies and practices and become partakers of the divine nature God with the aid of the Holy Spirit. This will give evidence of our relationship with Christ. All our dreams, ideas, agendas and purposes that we have prior to our acceptance of Christ, will cease to exist and are now replaced by Christ's ideas, agendas and purposes. In Christ, our love of self and sin must go; our love of the world must pass away; our former prejudices, opinions and habits must all pass away. In other words, all former things must pass away. And "all things are become new." We will become selfless, we will abhor sin, we will view the world through the eyes of Christ and our prejudices, opinions  and habits change to reflect Christ. Whatever we were before, will be of none effect; what we are now in Christ is what is important. To be a new person in Christ, means we have to enter into the heart of Christ. To have a real union with Him, and to love Him wholeheartedly. Our love for Him should elevate us and inspire us to live a pure life and be like Jesus. We must be converted from the inside out. You may spend your life talking about Jesus, his name is ever on your lips; yet you're not in a real union with Him. But when conversion takes place, you turn around from your former convictions and begin that new and transforming life in Christ. Having that new conviction, spiritual things become more real to you. You grow into new affections, what you did from a sense of duty, you now do with pleasure. In Christ, you are United to Him - He is the Vine and you're the branches. When you're in union with Christ you're a new person with a living hope in Him. Let Christ transform and renew your mind today, as you become a new person in Him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
