'Uphold my steps in Your paths, that my footsteps may not slip. I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech' (Psalm 17:5,6).

We are in constant need of the Almighty God and must communicate with Him daily, through prayers and through the study of His Word. When we come to God with a open and contrite heart, He hears and respond to our prayers; every agonising cry, every prayer of thanksgiving and praise to Him. He promised to be with us always and to hear us when we call. We can rejoice and be glad that our God is with us every step of the way - in the decisions we made and the actions we take. When you pray to God, you must pray in faith believing that He hears. God loves to hear from you, so trust Him and be in the habit of pleasing Him. David had not only had faith, but faith in the God whom he prayed, and expected to hear and answer his prayers. This is the David that God described as 'a man after His own heart.' It is not because David didn't sin, but because trusted all God said, believed in His word, acknowledged his wrong doing, openly confessed his wrongs to God with a open and contrite heart. He knew that despite what he was going through God is always true to His Word and will hear him. David knew God and God knew him well enough to make that statement about him. When David prayed, he prayed to God from a heart that is an open book, not one of disbelief or unconfessed sin. His prayer was sincere and without pretense, as he called upon God to uphold his steps in His paths that his footsteps may not slip. He knew God would hear and answer him. What is your prayer life like? Are your prayer prayed in faith of  the God whom you believe in? Are you an open book when you go before God, laying yourself bare and without pretense? Like David, your prayers can be effective, if go before God with a contrite and sincere heart. When you trusted in the Word of the true and living God and believed in His faithfulness to deliver, according to His will and purpose. Let us approach the throne of grace in humility of heart knowing God will answer the prayers of His Children.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
