'Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men' (2 Corinthians 8:21).

We live in a world that is wicked and perverse. Most people know of God, but don't really know Him. Some don't want to associate with Him and allow their minds to be taken over by Satan. When you know God intimately, you learn to obey Him by keeping His commandments and doing His will. Knowing Him helps us to have a clear conscience and a honest heart; knowing Him give us eternity with Him. We are called to be honourable before God and man, avoiding the appearance of evil. Jesus our Saviour and soon coming King, is one who search our hearts, discern our thoughts and observe our ways and actions. We should therefore set our minds on those things that are good and of good report among men and approved by God. The Scripture says, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." It is not enough for God to know that your conscience is clear; but in all honesty, we should order our affairs, in such away that others may also be aware. In other words, in providing honest things, we must not only do so in the sight of God, but also in the sight of men. We are called to give a  honest report; it may be in our  jobs, in our businesses, our social platforms, in our schools, in our families; just in our daily dealings with others. This good report should be approved by God and transparent in the sight of men; that we might not be judged of any suspicion or misconduct of any kind. As Children of God, we should exhibit an active attitude of openness and transparency, that should be marked as the standard we live by at all times. This will help in  question to one's integrity and trustworthiness. This is what Paul was trying to bring across when the collection made by the church at Corinth was been transferred to the church in Jerusalem. Let us therefore, be honest, open and have a good report in all we do and say, in the sight of God and man.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...

'But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident for, the just shall live by faith' ( Galatians 3:11). Paul in speaking to the Galatians, admonished them not to listen to heresies, that would jeopardise their relationship with Christ. The same message is relevant to us today as well. Paul here was saying, following the law cannot save us. It is our trust in God and having  faith in his Son, Jesus Christ, that can make us  right with God. That was evident, that the just shall live by faith, not by our own works. It was Christ who had redeemed us from the curse of the law by the shedding of his precious blood. We are save and made right by God's grace through faith in Christ Jesus. Abraham was justified, because He believed God  and was accounted righteous. We who are seeds of Abraham, will receive the blessings of Abraham by believing in Christ by faith and not works. The Promised blessings of Abraham by God, wasn't just for him alone, but ...
