'Those who listen to instructions will prosper; those who trust in the Lord will be joyful' (Proverbs 16:20).

Every day we are faced with decisions and situations that are sometimes overwhelming. How do we handle them? Are we fearful? Look to others for help? Look to self? Or do we hand them over to Jesus? If we look to anyone else than Jesus we will fail. When we put our trust and confidence in God, believing that nothing is too hard for Him and that He cares about all our concerns, we become joyful. We ought to cast ourselves at God's mercy and promises, because we cannot do anything without Him. We need to depend on God's blessing more than our own efforts and be wise when choosing any course of action. We should study God's Word and apply it faithfully to our lives, never handling those decisions and dilemmas we face without trust in God. He will reward us with spiritual happiness. We should learn to trust in God and delight in doing our duty toward Him, it brings us happiness. Our assurance of safety and salvation is only in God, and should lead us to trust Him and listen to His instructions. We should never rely on our own wisdom or strength for anything in life; it will only bring despair in the end. When we put our trust in God, He will not let us down or abandon us. He give His faithful children the Holy Spirit to guide and build them up, and to shed His love in their hearts; that nothing would be able to separate them from His love. Let us therefore, with all wisdom, listen to the instructions of God through His Holy Words and trust Him with all our hearts, so we can be joyful in the Lord.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
