'And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).

Job was a model citizen who loved God and went about doing good to others. God knew Job to be an upright man, full of integrity and very loyal to Him. He allowed Satan to afflict and bring calamities upon him to prove that he was what God said he was. Even though Job couldn't understand what was happening to him and why, he trusted God none the less. In the end the Lord turned his captivity when he prayed for his friends. God restored him from his afflictions and calamities and delivered him from Satan. In our afflictions and distress, we too need to trust God and pray not only for ourselves but for others. Sometimes, God allows Satan to interfere in our lives to test us, or to prove to Satan that we are loyal to Him. We see the importance here, of interceding for others. When we pray for others; whether it be our family, friends, enemies, those who are unkind to us, it changes things and situations. The prayer of a righteous man availeth much. It is indeed a blessing to pray for others - It is two fold. The  prayers go up and the blessings come down on those you have prayed for and yourself. It was while Job was praying for his friends that restoration took place. His health was regained, he had his friends back, Satan had no more power over him and God also restored all his material wealth - twice as much as they were before. God later bless him with ten children as he had previously. You may have suffered affliction by the hand of Satan; may be loss of health; losing your children; being persecuted in the workplace; may be it's a spiritual battle you're going through or you've lost everything you once possessed. God is saying to you today, trust me, I have got this covered, believe that there is nothing too hard for me. Pray for those who oppose you, who despitefully use and abuse you, for those who wants to destroy you; your friends who have given up on you; your family who has turned their backs in your distress. Pray earnestly to God for them and He will bless and restore you.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live;' (John 11:25). The story of Lazarus is a well known one in the Bible. He and his sisters Martha and Mary were friends of Jesus, who loved them. Lazarus became sick and died, and after four days Jesus raised him from the dead. This was more for benefits of those around including His disciples, so that they may truly believe that God had sent him.  He was speaking  with Martha who was more focused on the telling Jesus the problem, than demanding a specific solution. We too can be so focus on the problems we faced, that we forget that God is  much bigger that the problem and is our solution to them. When Jesus told her Lazarus would rise again, she understood it to mean he would live again someday. But Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live." Christ at this time, was able...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
