'Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments' (Psalm 119:73).

The psalmist here in seeking to be taught by God; recognised first the Creator, and that his hands had made and fashioned him. It is always a good thing to remember that if we are created, we must have a Creator. Knowing this truth bring purpose - that we are here for a purpose. It brings us a knowledge of who we are, where we are from and who is responsible for us. It gives us a sense of gratitude and great affection towards God as we recognised His amazing love and the power within His hands as He formed and fashioned us. How interestingly, that God called into being all of creation through the power of His word; but with man He personally, skillfully and lovingly and with wisdom made us with His power of His hands. We have so many reasons to give praise, to trust and be confident in God. He is the source of our life! David knowing God intimately, seeks enlightenment from the one made to him to give him understanding to learn His commandments and experience His holiness. We too need to see God as our best teacher, through the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to cry out to God for understanding, and He will certainly give us the grace to understand. He will not fail to hear us when we cry unto him. He who had begun a good work in us will continue to the end. When we ask of God, he will grant us the desires of our heart, so if your desire is for him to give you  understanding to learn His commandments, He will grant it unto you. Let us pray that God will open our understandings, that He will enlighten our consciences and guide us into His truth. That in learning His commandments we may have a sense of their spirituality and holiness; to understand what they truly mean and apply them to our lives practically in faith and in love.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
