'Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me'
(Micah 7:7).

In Christ we have freedom. We receive the free gift of salvation by faith in Him; being redeemed by His precious blood we have hope of eternal life. Our journey in this world is not an easy one without Christ. We will stumble and fall along the way, but we have to get up and just keep going, allowing the Holy Spirit to direct our steps day by day and hour by hour, looking to Jesus the reason for our existence.  Micah challenged Israel to turn from their sinful ways, their path of destruction and look to God. He warns them of the consequences of not doing so. Christ as called His faithful people to warn the world of the sinful path they are taking, to put away evil and self and look to Him their Saviour before it is too late. We also must be mindful of not falling prey to the enticement towards worldly pursuits and be influenced by worldly and ungodly things of the world. We must seek to grow in grace and live godly in Jesus Christ, seeking after the things of God and looking unto the Lord. We should purpose in our hearts to wait for the God of our salvation, our God who will hear us. We must seek to exercise our faith by looking to Jesus; we must believe He is the Son of God, who gave His life for us. We must believe in Him as our Saviour, Redeemer and Sustainer; our High Priest and King; our Judge; the Lord our righteousness. He is also our Healer, our Provider, our Comfort, our  Strength; He is all in all things. Will we not wait for the Lord of our salvation? We must wait faithfully, humbly, patiently and perseveringly as we pray and study His Word. Let us constantly fill our minds and thoughts with the Lovely Jesus as we wait for His return, as we wait for answered prayers. He never fails in hearing our prayers when we cry out to Him with all our hearts. With assurance and confidence in Him, we can say, "My God will hear me." Let us determine in our hearts to trust God, regardless of the conditions we face.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
