'Who will render to every man according to his deeds' (Romans 2:6).

God knows the heart of each one of us, therefore, He is the perfect Judge. He is the One who has the authority to judge the hearts of men, and to do so according to our deeds. Jesus himself expressed that we will be judged on the basis of our behaviour or our works. He said, "For the Son of Man shall come in glory of His Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."
(Matthew 16:27). Even though we will be judged on the basis of our deeds, we are not saved by our good deeds, but by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. We are sinners and our only hope of salvation is through faith in Christ. We should not judge others or the same judgement will be meted out to us. It is our natural tendency to want to judge others even when we ourselves are guilty of sinning. We therefore, need to examine our lives and our motives daily and see if we have no evil ways within us; and hand them over to Jesus. Lest another any of us may boast of our good deeds, it is only by grace through faith alone in Christ, that we can be saved. However, we all will have to stand one day before the our Creator and be Judged of Him - saved and unsaved. We will be judged by the works we carried out while living on this earth; by the perfect standard of God's goodness which is found only in His Son, Jesus Christ. In order for us to do good works, we have to first believe on Christ for Salvation - for it is by grace we are saved. We through His grace must live in spirit and in truth by allowing the Holy Spirit to take full control of our lives. For it is God who is at work within us, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Let us seek to walk in spirit and in truth and live in newness of life, submitting our lives to the work of the Holy Spirit; that when we are being judged for our works, God will render to each person according to his deed.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live;' (John 11:25). The story of Lazarus is a well known one in the Bible. He and his sisters Martha and Mary were friends of Jesus, who loved them. Lazarus became sick and died, and after four days Jesus raised him from the dead. This was more for benefits of those around including His disciples, so that they may truly believe that God had sent him.  He was speaking  with Martha who was more focused on the telling Jesus the problem, than demanding a specific solution. We too can be so focus on the problems we faced, that we forget that God is  much bigger that the problem and is our solution to them. When Jesus told her Lazarus would rise again, she understood it to mean he would live again someday. But Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live." Christ at this time, was able...

'The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him' (Lamentations 3:25). For many people, waiting is not something we like to do. Waiting can bring about stress, anxiety, irritability and impatience at some points in our lives. It can also bring joy, peace, hope and happiness. We all encounter waiting in our different ways, whether its news of a new arrival in the family where there may be complications; news of a health condition; news of a love one pulling through an illness; news of a job promotion; and for believers waiting with hope and anticipation for the coming of Lord Jesus. Here Jeremiah is saying to Israel and to us that, "The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him." What is the benefit of waiting on the Lord? The Lord will renew our strength, he will not allow us to be weary or faint (Isaiah 40:31). He will be good to all who wait upon him. The Lord  will also be good to us when we search for him. W...
