'Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand'
 (Philippians 4:5).

Sin has been engrained in us since the fall of our foreparents - Adam and Eve, in such a way that our natural desire is always to sin. It takes only the blood of Jesus to be able to wash and cleanse us from our sinfulness. As human beings, we sometimes find it hard to love each other, or even to get on with one another. Even as  Christian believers, we bicker and fight amongst ourselves. However, when we know God and trust and obey Him, by allowing the Holy Spirit to work in us, we will demonstrate more love and kindness towards each other. Our disagreements would be more positive and seasoned with love. We will seek to handle them with maturity and wisdom. We must aim to be slow to speak, slow to anger, but quick to listen. Paul was speaking to two sisters in the faith, Euodia and Syntyche, to try and put aside their differences and be of one mind; as he is also encouraging every one of us in the faith, to rejoice in the Lord and let our moderation or reasonableness be known to all men, because the Lord is at hand. We should seek to bring about peace, through the power of God and of the Holy Spirit, and not to build up strife. At times we add too much fuel to the fire and cannot  quench the flame when it gets out of control. We should strive to focus on the positive aspects of the disagreement and on our ability to rejoice in our fellowship with Jesus, here and now. There will be differences of opinions and disagreements on different subject matters. However, we must always seek to address these issues amicably and in a positive way, as Christ-filled people of  God. Let us rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to help us to be peaceable with each other, because Jesus is soon  to come. Let us live in unity of spirit, one to another; seek to have the peace of God within us and keep rejoicing together in harmony of heart, being in one mind until Jesus comes. Today, seek to love each other as Christ loves us.

Have a wonderful day and a bless weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...
