'It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect'
(Psalm 18:32).

The Christian journey is a battlefield consisting of good and evil. There is a spiritual battle going on for our minds -  Christ wants to save us and Satan wants to destroy us. Those who choose God will be battered and bruise by Satan; but the Lord has prepared us for this warfare and has girt us with the armour of God, so we will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). God had delivered David many a times from his enemies, including king Saul. He was delivered from physical and spiritual battles victoriously, and praised God for his deliverance. He acknowledged that its God who girded him with strength and make his way perfect. It is indeed God who gives us strength, whether physically or spiritually; He fortified our minds and give strength to our bodies that we will be able to carry out His work in the right way and with the right attitude. It is He that makes our way perfect. We may be fallen human beings, yet we can be perfect as our Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48).  We may have blemishes and spots, but as we come to God confessing our sins; He promised that he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. When we walk in the way of the Lord and live the life of Christ, we are being perfect ( not divine perfection of God that we as sinful beings cannot attain). When we allow God through the power of the Holy Spirit to do good works in us; and to walk in the ways of Christ our way will be perfect. He will give us the best direction, counsel as to  how to act and prosper in all our endeavours. Help us Lord to be upright before You, as we are strengthen and led in the right path. Let our hearts greatly rejoice as we trust You and give praise and honour to Your name. You are our strength, refuge, fortress, shield and buckler; our sufficiency is of you.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
