'For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole' (Matthew 9:21).

Jesus while on earth, did a lot of of miracles. He healed the sick, restore sight to the blind; speech to the dumb and hearing to the deaf. He cast out demons, cleansed the lepers and raised the dead among other things. People followed Him wherever he went, they were like sheep without a shepherd and Jesus was filled with compassion for them. All who come in personal contact with Jesus cannot be the same again. Jesus was approached by Jarius, the ruler of the synagogue to heal his daughter who was dying. However, as he make way to follow Jarius, a miracle happened. A woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years, hearing about Jesus and wanted to be healed, came up behind him and touched the hem of his garment and was immediately healed. (See Matthew 9:18-20). She thought to herself that if she could just touch his garment, she would be healed. This woman was deemed  unclean  and didn't want to be seen; but Jesus knowing virtue had gone out of  him, asked 'who touched my clothes?' (Mark 5:28-30) She reluctantly admit to it and Jesus told her, that her faith had made her whole. This women was imperfect, she thought the physical touch of his garment would heal her, not realising that the power to heal comes directly from Christ himself. But Christ identified with her, he saw her genuine faith and using the faith she had, he healed her by his divine will to bring glory to His Father and to bring her to a level of a higher spiritual faith. She was not only healed physically, but spiritually too. The Bible tells us that if we have faith as a grain of mustard seed we can remove mountains. (Matthew 17:20) When we experience genuine faith in Jesus, God is willing to accept it, even though there may be aspects of imperfection in it. Jesus is our Healer and  Balm in Gilead and will heal us from our sin sick souls, when we come to Him in faith. Whatever you're going through, take Jesus at his word and trust him wholeheartedly, placing your faith in him; He will heal you physically, spiritually and emotionally. He said, "Anything you asked in My name, that will I do, that the Father will be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."(John 14:13-14). When we pray in Christ's name we accept His character, manifest His Spirit and do work of his will. Let us seek to be obedient to Christ as we come to Him in faith.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live;' (John 11:25). The story of Lazarus is a well known one in the Bible. He and his sisters Martha and Mary were friends of Jesus, who loved them. Lazarus became sick and died, and after four days Jesus raised him from the dead. This was more for benefits of those around including His disciples, so that they may truly believe that God had sent him.  He was speaking  with Martha who was more focused on the telling Jesus the problem, than demanding a specific solution. We too can be so focus on the problems we faced, that we forget that God is  much bigger that the problem and is our solution to them. When Jesus told her Lazarus would rise again, she understood it to mean he would live again someday. But Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live." Christ at this time, was able...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
