'From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I' (Psalm 61:2).

The Lord is our Rock, it is in him we stand a shelter in the time of trouble; crisis; adversity, and even in this time of a pandemic. We all need to look to God and cry out like David, "...When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I." This Rock is Jesus who is high and deep. He is our Shelter, our help, our high tower and the Rock of our salvation. When we are fearful and overwhelmed, trust and look to Him, he will calm us. Whatever our problems, we can leave them to Him, who is bigger than any problems we may encounter. Are you feeling overwhelmed or anxious today? Do you feel like your problems or situations you face are drowning you? Then cry unto the Lord, and ask him to rescue you and lead you to his shelter that is higher that you. In our distress and affliction, look to Jesus.  No matter where you are, in near or distant land; or what the circumstances might be, just know, when we pray our heavenly Father is always within call. We are sometimes in despair and feels overwhelmed as a result of afflictions, troublesome times, loneliness, serious illness, all of which are quiet natural. However, when we seek the Lord and trust that he is able and confident to sustain and provide; to comfort and strengthen us; to protect and guide us; our faith allow us to claim the victory as overcomers in Christ. So cry unto the Lord in your distress, he is near enough to hear your voice. As believers, we know that perilous times will come, if we are not anchored in the Rock, we could find ourselves in a state of helplessness. We could become so overwhelmed and anxious as a result of all that's happening around us. The solution is to keep our eyes on Jesus and let him immerse us in his blood, as we allow the Holy Spirit to take full control of our lives. Let us ask the Lord to increase our faith that when these difficult situations arise we can lift our hearts upwards, having the strength to reach up for the Saviour's hand as He reach down and grasp ours and takes us to safety in him. Whatever your situation and if you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious; just pause and reflect on the Saviour, who is your Rock and then cried out to Him to lead you to Him, the Rock which is higher than you. To be your Shelter and strong Tower from your enemy. God is always ready to hear from us. Try Him today!

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
