The Lord our God is merciful and hears the cries of the needy. All who call upon Him with sincerity of heart, he will hear. A haughty and a proud heart the Lord will not hear, but of those with a humble and contrite heart he will hear. In our distress and times of need the Lord will not abandon us, but will help, sustain and deliver us. David call upon the Lord to deliver him from the oppression of his enemies and to deal with them on his behalf. We too can do the same and God will certainly hear and answer. We need to come to God in humility as we seek his face and commune with him with our prayers and supplications. As we see the works of the Lord, we will rejoice, and in so doing others can be encouraged and come to know the God we serve. We can only seek God through Christ, where we can find him. We can only come to God through Christ. As believers, we will encounter hardships and cruelty; adversaries and persecutions because of our fidelity to God. However, when we put our trust and confidence in Him, humble ourselves before his presence, he will revive and strengthen us as we rejoice in our trials. We have to experience Christ in our lives and trust in Him to help us through times of persecutions and troublesome times. Giving thanks and praise to God in these times will strengthen us and will encourage others going through similar situations  to totally put their trust in God and be revived. When we humble ourselves and see the salvation of the Lord, we will rejoice and be glad; we will live because we humbly seek God.  When the poor and needy, who trusts in the Lord, as we do, see how God has delivered us from our enemies, they will be encouraged and rejoice in Him. Let us in our struggles and difficulties humble ourselves, rejoice  and seek God that we may live.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
