'The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy' (Psalm 147:11).

When we recognised the Lord, that He is God, we will be humbled as we stand before him with reverence, in awe of his love and greatness. How do you feel when the Lord takes pleasure or delight in you? God's heart is full of love and compassion towards his children, who hope in his  mercy as displayed in Christ. It behoves us to praise God constantly for who he is and his merciful and loving care over us. He delights in all those who humbly  trust in his steadfast love; those who have a heart that truly loves, reverences, and adores Him. God sees and delights in those who demonstrate trust in him. He delights in the strength of grace of which he is please to own, through our faith in Christ. As believers, we should seek to exhibit a holy fear of God, that is, a reverence of his majesty and a complacency of his goodness. We must seek to hope in His mercy as we reverence Him. It is an awesome feeling to know that the Lord, the great God of the universe, the King of glory delights in us sinners, and that we can bring pleasure to His heart when we obey him. Therefore, it should fill our hearts with explicable joy that propels us to praise and give Him glory. Let us seek to reverence the Almighty God and worship him from a heart that is overflowed with gratitude. Remember that God takes pleasure in creating us and has made each of us unique and for a specific purpose. We are indeed His Masterpiece and was created anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do good things He planned for us long ago (Ephesians 2:10). Let us seek to enjoy his presence each day, to be a blessing to others as we radiate God's love, and endeavour to make the right choices, having confidence in the Sovereign Lord. Let us seek to trust the Lord more and have confidence as we experience His pleasure and worship Him.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
