'Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort' (2 Corinthians 1:3).

When we consider how sinful we are and how great God's love is towards us, it should lead us to humble ourselves and reverence Him. God is a compassionate and gracious God who is slow to anger, but abounds in love and faithfulnes. If we want to please God,  be like Jesus, by being kind and compassionate to one another, as Christ is compassionate and patient with us. We must praise the God, who is the Father of Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in our troubles, so that we can comfort others who are in trouble with the same comfort we ourselves receive from God. Jesus, our Lord is the greatest example of showing true compassion for others. He healed the sick and suffering and best of all, showed great compassion for humanity  when he died on the cross for all our sins. As a sinner it's not easy to show compassion for others, especially when we think they do not deserve. But as a believer  and a child of God, we should look to emulate Christ, and learn from him what true compassion is, and show the world how Christ has changed us. We should remember how God has blessed us when we don't deserve it, and it behoves us to do the same to others. We do not have to worry or be anxious because in our afflictions and sufferings we can run to God as our source of comfort in the middle of our troubles. He also will encourage and strengthen us through all of our afflictions. Let us therefore embrace God's mercy and compassion towards us, that we may live it out in our daily lives as we seek to help others come to Jesus.

Have a wonderful day

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...

'But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident for, the just shall live by faith' ( Galatians 3:11). Paul in speaking to the Galatians, admonished them not to listen to heresies, that would jeopardise their relationship with Christ. The same message is relevant to us today as well. Paul here was saying, following the law cannot save us. It is our trust in God and having  faith in his Son, Jesus Christ, that can make us  right with God. That was evident, that the just shall live by faith, not by our own works. It was Christ who had redeemed us from the curse of the law by the shedding of his precious blood. We are save and made right by God's grace through faith in Christ Jesus. Abraham was justified, because He believed God  and was accounted righteous. We who are seeds of Abraham, will receive the blessings of Abraham by believing in Christ by faith and not works. The Promised blessings of Abraham by God, wasn't just for him alone, but ...
