'Some trust in chariots,  and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the Lord our God' (Psalm 20:7)

To whom do you put your trust, God or man? The Bible said we are to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean to our own understanding. But in all ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct our path (Proverbs 3:5-6). God knows everything we are going through right now and in the future, because He is the Alpha and Omega - the Beginning and the End. He knows what is best for each of our situation and the possible outcome for them for He is God. All we need  to do is to simply trust and follow Him. We like David, need to express total confidence in the Lord, because He is more powerful than any army's chariots and horses; any guns and missiles or nuclear weapons. Do you remember what the Bible says God did with Pharaoh's chariots and horses in the Red Sea? They were no match for the mighty power of God!  When we hope in the steadfast love of God, He will deliver our souls from  death; protect and provide for us. In times pass nations would boast and glory in their chariots  and horses as they go to war. In this day and age it is bombs, nuclear power and weapon of destruction. But as believers, we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Let us seek to know the 'I Am," the Immutable ever-present God; Jehovah, the One who created us and called us to Him. In meditation we can recount His power, his goodness, his mercy as we remember his name. Let us remember the name of Jesus, knowing salvation and victory are His. Therefore, we can reflect upon the the perfection of God, such as his wisdom and power, making mention of him, of His words, attributes and works. Let  us be confident in times of trouble that we can trust Him and not in an arm of flesh. Let us give Him thanks for being our God; our Creator; our High Tower and our Father. Learn to have faith and trust in God. It is worth it!

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
