'The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretted against the Lord' (Proverbs 19:3).

There are many people who fail to trust God, and do there own thing. They choose their own way and ruin their lives by their own foolishness. When calamity befall them, they simply become angry at the Lord and blame him for it. Fools laugh at true wisdom, because they think they have a better way than God; but God will bring all their follies into judgement. It is vitally important to note that, most problems we have are as a result of our own fault. We disobey God and make bad choices, so our choices have nothing to do with God, that we should be angry against Him. God has given us everything we need to serve and obey Him. His
Word testifies of His love and his goodness; His Sovereignty and providence; His mercy and his grace; His faithfulness and his compassion. When we choose our own foolish ways, these choices come back to haunt us, then if we are not careful we murmur and blame   God for the difficulties that have arise, as a result of our own foolish choices. We must realised that our ways are not God's way, but God's way is always the best way. As believers, let not our heart fret against the Lord in any way, lest we fall into sin. Those who fret against God through their own foolishness, their murmur is like poison pouring out of their hearts. They become angry with God and act as if God had done them wrong, when it was them who wronged themselves. Therefore, they need to humble themselves before God and confess their follies that led to their predicament. Let us seek out God and purpose in our hearts to follow his way, and not our ways, which are perverted. God is always willing to work with us at all times, so let us choose His way and work with Him, that we will be able to spend eternity with Him when Christ returns.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
