'And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee'
(Psalm 39:7).

What is it one should expect of life? Sinners in a world of sin, have no hope except in Christ. Life without Christ ends in eternal death. Our days are numbered, seventy years are alloted to us, but we know not how long we have on this earth. The Psalmist looking at man, says that at our best state is altogether vanity. If we trust in the Lord, expecting all good things from Him, we do well. Everything under the sun is vanity, but in Christ we hope, and in Him alone. Whatever our state of mind, we need to surrender all to Christ and totally trust Him who is able to see us through. David saw the condition of the world and that men were only deceiving themselves, as they allowed the things of this earth to cloud their minds. He began to search his soul and appeal to God and his own conscience. We too in our time, see the condition of this world. Where sin is concern it's no different from in David's time, because sin is sin in whatever age we live. There are people who do not want to know God, while there are some who believe there is no God. They are full of themselves and is altogether vanity. But as believers, what do we wait for? The manifestation of Christ in our personal life. We need to be guided by the Holy Spirit, so our souls be brought to focus upon the Saviour, Jesus Christ, the center of our hope. Therefore, let us wait upon the Lord, separate ourselves from the things of the world and cling to the Creator, Presever, Saviour, Mediator and High Priest. Let us wait for Him with patience and thanksgiving, in prayers and supplications, because He is Eternal and our hope is in Him. We are all sinners saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us seek to have the mind of Christ; obey the Word of God; and have the Will of God. Let us like David, desire to be delivered from all our transgressions, for cleansing as we hope in Him. Everyday we are tempted to sin, but as we seek Christ daily we are better able to overcome those temptations. Let us not allow Satan to point the finger of scorn against us, but to cry out to Jesus for deliverance from the doubts and temptations Satan pulled us into daily. Our God is in control over everything, we just need to trust Him, who in His own time will solve all things. In all of our trials, temptations, afflictions, hardships and even persecutions, let us hold onto Jesus and hope in Him.

Have a wonderful day

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...
