'And therefore will the Lord wait that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of Judgement: blessed are all they that wait for him'
(Isaiah 30:18).

The Lord God desires only good things for His Children. Inspite of our shortcomings, He will wait because he longs to be gracious to us and to have compassion, because he is a God of Judgement. We are blessed to wait for Him.
Its so amazing that when we cry for help the Lord will be gracious to us. As soon as He hears, he will answer us.
God had given His people  Israel many promises, but they keep turning their back on Him and his grace which he continued to shower on them.
They tend to rely on their own strength instead of trusting in the Lord their God. How about us today?
We have the examples of Israel's disobedience and the consequences that came as a result. Yet we too seek our own strength. We act as if it is God who needs us and not us that really need him.
When we disobey God, it will result in God's judgement against us; but when we are obedient to him there are blessings. Let us always seek out God when he can be found, and turn to Him for protection and help, instead of forming alliance with Satan, and depend on the world for protection.
We who have been saved by grace through faith, to finish the work of Christ, must not cast judgement on Israel, but take a look internally.
We will see that we too trust in what the world offers or think of us; depending on our own resources and strength; forget our first Love and wanders from God.
Let us not only look at Israel's failures and mistakes, but seek to learn valuable lessons, and not make the same mistake they made, by defying the Lord; hardening our own hearts against the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Let us look steadfast to the Lord who longs to be gracious to all His Children and wait to have compassion on us all. For the Lord is a God of justice. How blessed are all this who long for Him.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and

'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more

'Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still' (Psalm 4:4). God knows everything about us, because he is God, our Creator and there is nothing that can be hidden from him. He knows the heart and the intents of the heart; Our thoughts, emotions, desires and motives, whether they be good or evil. He knows the godly from the ungodly, and have set apart those who are godly for himself, and will hear when they call unto him (verse 3). We are all called to be in a right relationship with God. Those who accept this call should have daily communion with Him through the study of His Word, prayer and supplications, allowing the Holy Spirit access in their hearts, that they might not wilfully sin against Him. We need to search our hearts daily and be silent before God as we contemplate his grace and his mercy towards us, and He will reveal Himself to us. When our enemies seek to do us harm, or people speak lies about us, simply look to Jesus and trus
