'Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people
(Psalm3:8).

Prayer is very important in the Christian' walk, and is a way to communicate to God.
When we trust in God and the Son, Jesus by faith, we receive the gifts of salvation. It is a free gift that belongs to God, who shares it by grace with all who believe and trust Jesus for our salvation, even though we do not deserve it.
So many times we take our eyes off Jesus, focusing on other distractions. Our trust in God falters, and when we allow our hearts to fail within us, as we experience uncertainty and other events happening in our lives, and of those we love, we lost sight of the Lord.
However, it is of utmost importance to look to Jesus for strength, and rely on Him to provide all our needs, according to His riches in glory.
David went through a lot and many times he became despondent and depressed, but he always acknowledged the faithfulness of God to finish the good work that He had begun into his life. As human beings we are not immune to such emotions. Many people in the Bible are swayed by circumstances that happened in their lives.
David a man after God's own heart was moved by the insurmountable tasks that he had to accomplished and was often overwhelmed by challenges he faced in his life.
All of us at some point in time get swayed by the pressures of life and are overwhelmed by challenging circumstances, like David. And we too come to the knowledge that the Lord is our Rock and our Fortress and our salvation, that His blessings are upon us his people. We have to give thanks and praise to the Lord, Most High. Let us understand and believe that salvation belongs to the Lord alone, who is our refuge and strength and will be with us in time of trouble.
Let us therefore, cast all our cares upon Christ, for he cares for us. If we could only trust Him!

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
