'Who among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God'
(Isaiah 50:10).

The fear of the Lord is not a fear of His wrath to come, nor His terrible judgment. It is a reverential affection for God, a godly fear of Him.
Isaiah asked the question, "Who is among you that feareth the Lord? That is, who among you that fear the Lord, and his goodness; who humble themselves and have faith in Him.
We must be in awe when we think about God and his goodness, his providence and majesty.
When we experience the fear of God, we will hear his word and be submissive to the will of God.
Isaiah is saying to us, that if we have faith and believe in Christ and fear Him, because it's through his grace by faith in him that we are saved.
Who is it... that walks in darkness, and have no light? Though for a while we may walk in darkness and have no light, but when we trust in the name of Lord, we shall be comforted.
If we truly obey the voice of God's servant, and is willing to be ruled by Jesus Christ, as his servant, in doing the great work of man's redemption; we do well and please God.
When we truly fear God we will obey the voice of Christ, its as simple as that.
We sometimes walk in darkness, having no light, even though we might fear God and obey him. Those actions should not be an everyday occurrence, but it may be in occasion when our joy in the Lord is not complete and is interrupted; our spirit becomes crushed and we yield to the trap of temptation, Satan presented in our way. Thank God, we are admonished by the prophet to trust in the name of the Lord; in His goodness, his power and his wisdom. Let us but run into God's strong tower, as we depend upon him for protection and deliverance. Let us seek the All-sufficient God and stayed upon Him, calling upon our Father as Christ did on the cross.
We ought not to put our  trust in man or ourselves, but in the true and living God. The Lord's name is above all other names, therefore let us take hold of it.

Have a wonderful day

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
