(Romans 8:24) Everyone who has faith in God and believe in His Son Jesus Christ has hope of the Second Coming of Christ. We have been saved by grace through faith in Christ, of which we will have eternal life with him, if we remain faithful.  We long for that glorious day when we will be completely release from sin and suffering; as we wait in expectancy and hope to be given our full rights as God's adopted children and the fulfilment of the promise of immortality. Sin keeps us separated from God, but we have salvation in Christ as a free gift from God to restore us back to himself. This gift, we know is guaranteed to all who will accept the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. Yes, we are saved by hope, that is, we are preserved by the hope that sustain us, amidst our trials and sufferings until the day dawns and Jesus our Saviour puts in his appearance. He will eradi...

 'Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once' (Proverbs 28:18). The Lord is our Protector and Waymaker. He is ever seeking to guide and lead us in the path of righteousness. Those who trust in Him and  walk uprightly, He promised to save. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord; perceive him as the Author and Finisher of our faith, He will be with us through whatever sufferings and calamities that may befall us. He will protect us when we are caught in the raging storms of life. But for those who trust in their own perverse ways, and turn away from the way of the Lord shall fall at once. When they least expect it, destruction will come upon them and it will be too late for them. We cannot at anytime serve too masters: one we will love and the other we will hate. We need to serve only the true and living God, who is able to save us. It doesn't mean that we will not encounter or have problems, issues or afflictio...

 'Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?' (Psalm 77:13). The God of Creation is more than worthy of our praise and worship. There is absolutely no one like our God. He is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent; He  demonstrated His amazing love to all his people, when he came down to earth in the form of his Son to redeem us, by his blood. Who then is like our God? His ways through his creation, his providence and his grace are beyond anything we could ever imagine. He is holy, just and righteous. From generation to generation, His people can attest to the awesome and mighty power he has manifested among them. So when you cannot trace His ways, trust Him nonetheless; because His way is in holiness.  'Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come' (John 7:34). Jesus Christ came to this earth to save us from the bondage of sin, and to restore us back to the Father. Those who should be a light to the heathen nations around rejected Him as the Messiah. They, the Scribes and Pharisees seek to silence Him on several occasions but were afraid of the people; also it wasn't Christ's appointed time yet to die. There are people today who also rejected Christ as the Messiah, the Son of God who died for them. Christ is calling us to take a stand and to take up our individual cross and follow him. The Holy Spirit is there pleading to the hearts of men to seek the Saviour, before it is too late. In the time of Christ, there were different opinions as to who he really was. What is your opinion of Him and what does He mean to you? Seek Jesus today, sit at his feet and learn of him. Study the Word of God daily, meditate upon it and pray  consistent...

 'From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I' (Psalm 61:2). The Lord is our Rock, it is in him we stand a shelter in the time of trouble; crisis; adversity, and even in this time of a pandemic. We all need to look to God and cry out like David, "...When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I." This Rock is Jesus who is high and deep. He is our Shelter, our help, our high tower and the Rock of our salvation. When we are fearful and overwhelmed, trust and look to Him, he will calm us. Whatever our problems, we can leave them to Him, who is bigger than any problems we may encounter. Are you feeling overwhelmed or anxious today? Do you feel like your problems or situations you face are drowning you? Then cry unto the Lord, and ask him to rescue you and lead you to his shelter that is higher that you. 'The Lord is my shepherd;  I shall not want' (Psalm 23:1). A shepherd is one who looks after sheep. His responsibility is to provide, guide and protect them. Sheep are animals that tend to stray, but are obedient and will follow where ever they are led. The shepherd often had to discipline the young sheep that would stray from the flock, by using a rod to break the leg of the wandering lamb, then he binds the wound and carried the lamb on his shoulder until that wound is healed. David himself was a Shepherd and he knew the role and responsibility of being one. Therefore addressing the Lord as "My Shepherd" was personal and one of admiration for a God he knew would deliver. He was confident of God's provision and continue to say, "I shall not want." He knew the Lord was with him and was capable of providing for his needs, which give him comfort and peace. We too can be assured and have confidence that Jesus, our Good Shepherd will provide for all our need...

 'In him was life; and the light was the light of men' (John 1:4). In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John1:1).  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...(John 1:14). We see depicted in these passages that Jesus was the Word, and that He is God. He is the resurrection and the life and all who believe on him will have everlasting life. It is important to establish who Jesus is, and the sacrifice he made on our behalf to redeem us from the disease of sin. When we appreciate that He is also God, who in human form came down and died for us, so as to save us from the bondage of sin; it should motivate us to honour and serve him. In Him is life: we cannot gain eternal life without having Jesus in our lives. We must accept His sacrifice on the Cross, believing He is the Son of God, who was before the foundation of the world.
