'For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened' (Matthew 7:8).

Prayer is important to all who seek to know God and to have a relationship with Him. It is important as the air we breathe, in the Christian's life. When praying for what we want or need we must be honest to God about our thoughts and feelings. Being honest will open God's ears to our prayers. We should  also learn to be specific in our request. God already knows what we are in need of before we ask, but He wants to hear from us. When we come to Him, it creates a greater bond between He and us. It doesn't mean because you are specific, it guarantees your prayers will be answered in the way you want Him to, as He may have other plans for you. But He will answer in His own time and according to His will and purpose. As Jesus was coming to the end of His Sermon on the Mount, he encouraged and motivated His hearers to pray. He said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened" ( Matthew 7:7,8). God is encouraging and motivating us to pray too. He invites us to ask, seek and knock. He then promises that the person who ask will 'receive;' that the seeker 'finds,' and the person who knocks, 'gets an open door.' Everyone has an opportunity to ask of God what he needs, according to His will. We ought to know what the will of God entails. Are we obeying His commandments, his statues and laws? Are our needs align with his plans? We should also seek Him in Christ earnestly and as we continue to knock at God's door of mercy it will be opened. God invites you to pray consistently, as often as it needs be, to keep the channel of communication open. He is always ready to avail Himself to us when we call upon Him. He commands us to bring our requests before Him, to look for answers, and asked to be let into His presence. God loves and longs to hear from us. He is listening to us, paying attention and ready to give us good gifts. Let us give Him praise for His great and  mighty power and thank him for His goodness, His grace and mercy, for answering our prayers and availing Himself to us. As we ask in faith through Jesus, believing He has the power to hear and answer, He will answer us. Reflect on your prayer life today. How is it?

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
