'And  the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent' (Act 17:30).

Paul was on Mars Hill in Athens surrounded by the intellects of the city when he declared the truth about God. In this Greek culture, it was the belief of the people to create their gods, whether idols of gold, silver or stone in their own image for worship. It was on the premise of the inscription of an unknown God that Paul seek to address them. He let them know that man was made"in the image of God" and should worship only Him, who is the true and living God. He went on to say that, it is this ignorance of not knowing the true God that God winked at, but that time of ignorance was now over, where they were allow to go their own way. But are now commanded to repent of their sins and worship the living God.
When you come to the realisation of who God is, the truth of your origin and your need of salvation, your time of ignorance is over and it's time of repentance. Jesus' life, death and resurrection is known to all, even though some reject it blatantly while others are seeking to know Him. God will graciously overlook one's ignorance and allow their lack of understanding to pass unnoticed for a time. However, when enlightenment comes of His truth; the plan of salvation to save us from sin. The time of ignorance is over and God is saying repent, believe in Jesus Christ and be saved from the judgement to come. We who know God, and experience His goodness and salvation should share the gospel with others. God is gracious and long suffering and full of love and compassion for humanity. So much so, that He sent Christ to die for all our sins, that all who believe on Him will have everlasting life. As God opens our heart to His truth, let us with zealously, and with much joy and enthusiasm, share this wonderfully good news of salvation to others. We want them to experience God's amazing love, His promises, His blessings,  His grace and the hope of eternity with Him, as they are led to repentance. Let us continue to trust and hope in Jesus as we look for His soon return.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
